No appeal in Sainsbury’s plan decision

Sainsbury’s has confirmed that it will not appeal West Oxfordshire District Council’s decision to refuse planning permission for a new store in Chipping Norton.

WODC rejected plans for a new store on the old Parker Knoll site on London Road nearly four months ago. Sainsbury’s already runs a smaller store in the town centre.

The empty and overgrown site, on one of the main roads into Chippy, is designated as suitable for light-industrial use.
