Chippy escapes worst of the weather

Chippy seems to have escaped the worst of the weather over the past week, with relatively few problems being reported.

Some teachers had to leave schools early last week, due to fears about being able to get home, and there were reports of some flooding on the usual routes, such as the Burford Road and the A3400 towards Shipston-on-Stour.

The Oxford Times reports that yesterday, the AA had to attend some 80 breakdowns in Oxfordshire, with some cars being stuck in floodwater. So with it continuing to rain, be careful, and let us know if you experience any problems with flooding in the local area.
