Chipping Norton businesses were in the spotlight again at Heythrop Park on 14 March at the annual West Oxfordshire Business Awards gala dinner evening.
The evening was chaired by Chippy’s Ken Norman – in usual lively form.
Collecting the Employer of the Year was Tony Yarrow from local financial advisory firm Wise Investment.
The company also recently won a recent Fund of the Year award against some of the UK’s largest fund managers.
Food company Ross & Ross Foods, based in Worcester Road, won the Micro Business Award.
There was also success for former Chipping Norton School student Alex Edwards, who won the New Business Award for luxury bespoke clothes creator The Cotswold Tailor, based in Woodstock.
Other Chippy firms and previous winners – CETA, Owen Mumford and mark-making* – were among this year’s award sponsors.
Although David Cameron could not make this year’s gala, he sent a video message where he said,
“I am a big supporter of small businesses and I am extremely proud that my constituency plays host to so many.”
The West Oxfordshire Business Awards are organised by a team of local businesses to celebrate local success. 2014 was the fourth year that the awards have been held, and winners will now go forward to the countywide Oxfordshire event.
