A 30-year-old Somerset man has been sentenced to 14 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to committing a burglary in Sarsden.

Rikki Newby, from Crewkerne, committed the burglary early last Wednesday morning, stealing a number of tools from the property.

A big thank you to PC Claire Sadler for attending and keeping us informed regarding the progress on our captured criminal. The police were polite and quite entertained by our captive thief. However we have since had a few late night visitors last week that fled when the police attended.

Business owners especially should stay alert and keep an out for each other. Please report suspicious activity it might just save somebodies living.
