Following the success of A Very West End Christmas, Emma’s Trust is again teaming up with West End performers and musicians, as well as with Chipping Norton School and Cotswold School, to present a night of movie magic with A Very Hollywood Christmas.
Tickets go on sale this morning for the event, which takes place on Sunday 7 December. It will see Chipping Norton School turned into an Oscars venue as 12 stars of the West End are joined by the 20-strong Young Company for a night of movie music.
The Young Company, made up of students from Chipping Norton School and Cotswold School, will have been working with professional musical director Darren Lord (Mamma Mia, Wicked) and concert director – also a Chippy resident – Jodie Read (Mamma Mia, Chicago) to accompany the professionals for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
The concert is not just a fundraising event, but, in keeping with the work of Emma’s Trust, will help young people in the areas of sports and performing arts.
Emma’s Trust chairman Gary Creese said,
“I’m delighted by the support we’ve been given to host this event. We are thrilled to be welcoming back some of the very best performers in the West End for a night that has become such a wonderful celebration of music and the work the Trust undertakes. The town is, once again, in for a real treat.”
A Very Hollywood Christmas will be held at 4pm and 7.30pm at Chipping Norton School.
Tickets include cabaret seating priced £25 and side balcony seats priced £10. Tickets go on sale at Chipping Norton Theatre (01608 642350) from 10am today.
