Remembering Joan Bowen

Joan Bowen, who lived in Chippy until 2010, died on 29 December after a long period of illness. She was just two days short of her 92nd birthday.

Her son Peter Keen has been in touch to let those who knew her from her long years in Chipping Norton know that her funeral will be on 13 January at 2pm at St Mary’s Church in Chippy, followed by burial at the cemetery.

Joan left Chippy nearly five years ago when she moved firstly to Abbeyfield in Chadlington, and then to a nursing home in Dorset, closer to her son. She died peacefully in her nursing home.
