West Street closed after accident

West Street has been closed at The Green following a child being hit by a car earlier this morning.

Police are still on the scene following the accident, which we have been told happened as the child was on his way to school. He has been taken to hospital.

UPDATE 11am: BBC Oxford is reporting that the accident involved a 12-year-old boy who has been taken to the JR Hospital with a head injury.

UPDATE 12pm: West Street is now fully reopened.

    A 20 mph limit should be imposed throughout the town as a part of the solutions required over the town’s traffic problems.
