Have you received your poll card?

Voting ClipartThis week, election poll cards are being posted to all West Oxfordshire residents who have registered to vote at the local and general elections on Thursday 7 May.

Residents should receive their poll cards by Friday 10 April and West Oxfordshire District Council (WODC) is urging anyone who does not receive one to get in touch.

Electoral Registration Officer Keith Butler has also advised residents who are not registered to vote to act now if they want to have their say in May.

He said:

“If you have not received your poll card by 10 April, it could mean you are not on the electoral register.

“You can now apply to register online. This is the simplest and fastest way, taking about 5 minutes.

“Just fill in your name, address, date of birth, national insurance number and a few other details.

“Please remember, paying council tax does not automatically add you to the electoral register.”

For more information, including checking to see if you are registered and how to register if not, call the elections team on 01993 861410 or click here.

WODC’s deadline for receiving “register to vote” applications is Monday 20 April.
