Police seek witnesses to Churchill collision

Thames Valley Police are looking for witnesses of a serious road collision that happened in Churchill last Friday afternoon.

A blue Troll sports car was heading from Chipping Norton towards Churchill on the B4450 at around 1.45pm on 3 April when it was involved in a collision with a silver Land Rover Discovery travelling in the opposite direction.

The driver of the first car, a man in his 20s, was initially trapped in the vehicle. He was later taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with non-life threatening, serious injuries. He is still in hospital.

Although the driver of the Land Rover was uninjured, a female passenger in that vehicle was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Investigating officer PC Wayne Mills last night appealed for witnesses, saying:

“I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or anyone who saw the vehicles travelling prior to the collision, as they may have information which would assist the investigation.”

If you have any information, you can call the Thames Valley Police 24-hour enquiry centre on 101. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
