Guy Wall in Tory win at district council elections

Guy Wall is Chipping Norton’s new district councillor on West Oxfordshire District Council.

After yesterday’s district council elections, the results were:

  • Guy Wall (Conservatives): 1782 votes
  • Sian O’Neill (Labour): 887 votes
  • Jim Stanley (UKIP): 309 votes
  • Richard Averill (Green): 273 votes
  • Ivan Aguardo Melet (Lib Dem): 181 votes

Guy’s win means that the Conservatives take the seat, which was previously held by Labour’s Eve Coles.

The turnout at district level was 73.32%.
