The results of yesterday’s election for Chipping Norton’s town council have been announced. The following have been elected as town councillors:

  • Richard Averill (Green): 1043 votes
  • Richard Benfield (Conservatives): 1380 votes
  • Chris Butterworth (Conservatives): 1377 votes
  • Eve Coles (Labour): 1587 votes
  • Alex Corfield (Conservatives): 1250 votes
  • Don Davidson (Independent): 1270 votes
  • Jo Graves (Independent): 144o votes
  • Tahirul Hasan (Conservatives): 1156 votes
  • David Heyes (Labour): 1091 votes
  • Martin Jarratt (Independent): 898 votes
  • Stephen Jordan (Labour): 1025 votes
  • James Kitcher (Conservatives): 1176 votes
  • Annie Roy-Barker (Conservatives): 1302 votes
  • Mike Tysoe (Conservatives): 1478 votes
  • Andrew Villars (Conservatives): 1178 votes
  • Mark Walker (Labour): 1090 votes

Congratulations to all the elected candidates.

The turnout was 73.30%; 29 ballot papers were rejected.
