Event – Churchill Gravestones Walk

The Churchill Heritage Centre invites you to an OPEN AFTERNOON (with tea and scrummy cakes) and a (short) GRAVESTONES WALK (and talk) by Nina Morgan on Sunday 15 May at 2.30 pm.

Nina Morgan is the author of The Geology of Oxford Gravestones, and something of an expert on the family life of William Smith – it is she who has transcribed the 52 letters (held at Oxford Nat Hist Museum) between William Smith and his nephew and niece John and Anne Phillips. So she is the perfect person to come and talk to us about some of the fascinating gravestones we have in the churchyard, and to throw more light on the close personal relationships William Smith had with his family – the subject of our current exhibition, William Smith: The Family Man.

Do come and join us.
